FILIPINO FOOD SCHOLAR AND AUTHOR CLANG GARCIA VISITS PHILIPPINE CONSULATE GENERAL TORONTO

20 December 2023 – Philippine Consul General in Toronto Angelica C. Escalona received Ms. Clang Garcia, a Filipino food scholar and the Philippine Ambassador of the World Food Travel Association. Ms. Garcia published a culinary tourism guidebook entitled “Philippine Food Holidays” in partnership with the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) Philippines. The book features tourism spots and restaurants in various cities and provinces in the country. She presented several copies of the book to the Consulate. The Consulate’s officials and Ms. Garcia discussed ways to promote Philippine cuisine and tourism.
