Extension of the Validity of Green Passports; Travel Document and Applying for ePassports at the Department of Foreign Affairs in Manila

The Philippine Consulate General would like to inform everyone that those in need of passports urgently (like those who are going home to the Philippines because of emergency) may avail of the following consular services:

1.for those whose passports are still valid, the validity of the passport can be extended for two (2) years from date of payment. Fess: C$23.00 for the extension of the passport and C$28.75 for the Affidavit of Explanation as to the reasons the passport is needed urgently. Forms are available at the Consulate.

2.for those whose passports are already expired, apply for a Travel Document to enable them to travel to Manila. Since Travel Documents are valid only for direct travel to Manila, applicants may apply for their ePassports at the Consulate and release their ePassports in Manila or if they have the time, apply for their ePassport in Manila and wait for its release.

APPLYING FOR ePASSPORT IN MANILA

In the Department of Foreign Affairs in Manila, applications for ePassports are on an appointment basis only – there will be no processing without an appointment. The new office is at the corner of Bradco St. and Macapagal Avenue (near the Mall of Asia).

To be assured of service at the appointed day and time, individual applicants are advised to log in at www.passport.com.ph or to call telephone number 737-1000.
