The Original Barrio Fiesta, A New Entrant, to the 2023 Filipino Restaurant Month in Canada

Toronto, 27 April 2023 – A franchise of a popular restaurant chain in the Philippines, The Original Barrio Fiesta, joined as one of the new entrants to the 2023 Filipino Restaurant Month in Canada (FRMC). Representatives of the Philippine Consulate General visited the restaurant to try its prix fixe offering for entrée – beef caldereta and chicken inasal.
The restaurant, housed in the East York Town Centre, conveniently caters to the Filipino nurses who live nearby. They also produce and sell Philippine native delicacies, pastries and other Philippine products.

The Original Barrio Fiesta in Toronto, owned by Filipino-Canadian Karla dela Cruz, is the only franchise of the Philippine restaurant food chain in Canada. END
