PHILIPPINE CONSULATE GENERAL CONDUCTS WEEKEND CONSULAR OUTREACH SERVICES IN MISSISSAUGA

29 July 2023, Mississauga – The Philippine Consulate General conducted a weekend consular outreach service at the Kalayaan Cultural Community Centre (KCCC) in Mississauga.

During the outreach, a total 63 clients were provided consular services. In addition, 22 former Filipinos and their dependents took their oath of re-acquisition of Filipino citizenship under Republic Act 9225, and a total of 24 overseas voters were processed for registration and correction of entries in their records.

The SSS Representative and the Migrant Workers Office (MWO)-Toronto also provided their services to interested applicants.

The outreach was co-organized by the KCCC. It is part of the Consulate General’s efforts to bring its services closer to communities within its jurisdiction. “We are very thankful for the Consulate bringing their services to us. We hope that the outreach can be conducted again in Kalayaan” one of clients expressed during the outreach. END
