Toronto PCG conducts training on authentication of public documents for PCG personnel and attached agencies

Consul Edna May Grecia-Lazaro of the Philippine Consulate General in Toronto discusses the distinction between apostille and authentication during the training on authentication of public documents held at the Consulate’s conference room on 02 August 2019.

20 August 2019, Toronto-The officers and staff of the Philippine Consulate General in Toronto, together with representatives of other attached agencies such as the Trade Section, the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO), the Office of the SSS Representative and the Office of the Pag-IBIG Fund Representative, participated in a training on the revised rules on authentication of public documents. Consul Edna May Grecia-Lazaro conducted the said lecture-training on 02 August 2019 at the Consulate’s conference room.

The training is part of Post’s continuing education and capacity building program and was conducted in view of the Philippine accession to the Apostille Convention. The Philippines became a party to the Apostille Convention effective 14 May 2019. END
