Philippine Consulate General in Toronto Extends Assistance to Additional OFWs During COVID-19 Pandemic

03 November 2020 Toronto, Ontario – The Philippine Consulate General in Toronto through the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) under the leadership of Labor Attache Attorney Rachel Zozobrado-Nagayo has extended assistance to more Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) who were affected by the on-going COVID-19 pandemic under POLO Toronto’s jurisdiction. As of to date, 694 OFWs received a one-time financial assistance of US$200.00 under the DOLE-AKAP.

The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA)-Toronto under POLO distributed 56 food packs from the OWWA funds, while 20 food packs were distributed form the DOLE COVID-19 Supplemental Funds.END
