Canada’s Immigration Minister Marco Mendicino and Consul General Orontes V. Castro Cut the Ceremonial Ribbon on the Opening in New Address of Filipino Online Radio “TOMz Radio Toronto”

27 March 2021, Toronto, Ontario – The Philippine Consulate General in Toronto attended and participated at the opening in the new address in Bathurst, Toronto of “TOMZ Radio Toronto”, the first Filipino Online Radio that offers broadcasting opportunity to different ethnic communities in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). The radio station and its offices are located at 3768 Bathurst Street, Room 308, North York, Ontario, and it is open from Wednesday to Sunday from 12:00 noon to 7:00 P.M.

Consul General Orontes V. Castro was joined by Honourable Marco Mendicino, Canada’s Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, in cutting the ceremonial ribbon. Consul General Castro and Minister Mendicino were later joined in by Honourable Salma Zahid, Member of the Canadian Parliament for Scarborough Centre, and other business personalities in the GTA. After the ceremonial cutting of the ribbon, Consul General Castro was joined by POLO-Toronto Labor Attache Attorney Rachel Zozobrado-Nagayo in explaining to the Filipino community the Philippine Consulate General in Toronto’s consular services during an interview conducted by Mr. Mon Datol, TOMz Radio Station Manager, and his co-anchor Cecille Araneta in their radio program. – END
