H.E. Rodolfo D. Robles, Philippine Ambassador to Canada, Warmly Received During His First Meeting With The Filipino Community in Western Ontario and Manitoba

05 May 2021, Toronto, Ontario – The Philippine Consulate General in Toronto is pleased to inform that H.E. Rodolfo D. Robles, Philippine Ambassador to Canada, was warmly received during his first meeting with the Filipino community members and leaders on 30 April 2021. Over 100 individuals and groups attended the virtual meeting that was organized by the Consulate General thereby affirming the eagerness of the Filipino community members and leaders to meet and hear the message of the Ambassador.

In his remarks, Ambassador Robles expressed his sincere gratitude for being invited to greet the Filipino community in Western Ontario and Manitoba albeit virtually. The Ambassador considered the meeting special since the participants attended the event despite the pandemic. He added that the meeting is a public manifestation of unity as Filipinos, while consciously or unconsciously enhancing common heritage. He spoke of his pride of kababayan Filipinos in Canada.

Among the audience were Filipino-Canadians elected into government positions in Canada, leaders of the community organizations, entrepreneurs, business leaders, religious leaders, leaders of professional organizations, and members of the media.
