For passport renewal, personal appearance is required at the Philippine Consulate General in Toronto for biometric data capture. Processing takes around eight (8) weeks. In the event of power failures brought about by weather disturbances in the Philippines, the processing may even take longer. Applicants are no longer required to bring their own photos. Appointment is not necessary likewise. You can come anytime between 9:00am and 4:00pm from Mondays to Fridays, except during holidays.
Minor applicants should be accompanied by either one of the parents. For illegitimate children, they must be accompanied by the mother.

Pursuant to instructions from the Department of Foreign Affairs, the Philippine Consulate General in Toronto informs the public that effective 01 January 2018, the Department will implement the use of the revised passport application form. Please note of the following revised forms:
The Consulate also takes this opportunity to inform the public that effective 01 January 2018, the Consulate will issue regular/ordinary passports with a validity of ten (10) years for Filipino citizens who are eighteen (18) years old and above and regular/ordinary passports with a validity of five (5) years for those below eighteen years of age.
Please note that the Consulate will not be responsible for passports/documents that may be lost or damaged in the mail.
