Consul General of the Republic of the Philippines in Toronto

Hon. Kristine Leilani R. Salle assumed her post as Consul General of the Republic of the Philippines in Toronto, Canada on 18 September 2025.

A seasoned diplomat with over 25 years of service in the Philippine Foreign Service, Consul General Salle brings extensive experience in both bilateral and multilateral diplomacy. Prior to her appointment in Toronto, she served as Ambassador and Deputy Permanent Representative of the Philippines to the United Nations and other International Organizations in Geneva, Switzerland. Her previous overseas assignments include key diplomatic postings in Rome and London. In Manila, she served in various capacities focused on Asia-Pacific and European affairs, migration policy, and international economic relations.

Consul General Salle holds a Master of Science degree (with merit) in Diplomacy and Security Studies from the University of Stirling in the United Kingdom, Post-Graduate Diploma in Globalisation and Development from the International Institute of Social Studies in The Hague, the Netherlands, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from De La Salle University in Manila, Philippines.

She is married to a lawyer.
